Profile- Brett Marschke serves as executive vice president and chief operating officer for Duff & Phelps. He oversees marketing and communications, human capital, technology and knowledge management for the firm. Mr. Marschke is actively involved in formulating and implementing the strategic direction of the firm.
- Mr. Marschke joined Duff & Phelps from The McGraw-Hill Companies, where he held the position of vice president of human resources for the Information and Media segment and was a member of the Information and Media executive team.
- His responsibilities included defining and implementing human capital strategy in alignment with the business goals of Information and Media. Key areas of focus were acquisitions, organizational restructuring, identifying and developing high potential talent, encouraging the further development of a performance culture and building a diverse team. Mr. Marschke also led a number of corporate-wide initiatives for McGraw-Hill targeted at further driving a performance culture across the entire corporation.
- Prior to his tenure at McGraw-Hill, he was a managing director at Standard& Poor's Corporate Value Consulting, with responsibility for human resources.
- Mr. Marschke has extensive professional service and consulting experience, with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Andersen Consulting (Accenture), Gemini Consulting and Coopers & Lybrand.
Education- Mr. Marschke holds a B.A. in economics from the State University of New York and a CCP certification from the American Compensation Association.
